Launch of a Training of Trainers (TOT) Program in the Petroleum Sector with the Participation of “Hagar” and “Badr”.

**The Training of Trainers (TOT) program has been launched by the petroleum sector in cooperation with the French company IFPT, a specialized affiliate of the French Institute of Petroleum, under the umbrella of the Petroleum Sector Human Resources Development Program.**

The program includes a select group of distinguished employees from the sector to qualify them as IFPT-certified training cadres capable of delivering specialized training programs in operations and plant operation at petroleum refineries. In addition, the program provides training for a number of operations engineers on modern refining technologies.

The program launch, held at the headquarters of EPRM at the Alexandria Petroleum Complex, was attended by Engineer Alaa Hagar, Deputy Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources for the Technical Office; Engineer Mohamed Badr, Chairman of ANOPC; and Engineer Hossam Asaad, Chairman of EPRM.

The new program represents an important step within an ambitious initiative to build the operational capabilities of newly graduated engineers and technicians in Upper Egypt. It is a pioneering model introduced by the petroleum sector to provide comprehensive training and qualification for young graduates from Upper Egypt by developing the skills, competencies, and experience required to carry out operation and maintenance activities at the Diesel Production Complex of Assiut National Oil Processing Company (ANOPC), as part of the sector’s community responsibility in Upper Egypt. The program also serves as a new source of well-trained and qualified local manpower from Upper Egypt for employment in the oil and gas industry.

The Human Capacity Building Program in Upper Egypt is implemented by a group of specialized Egyptian and international companies. ENPPI is responsible for designing and delivering core skills programs in English language, computer skills, basic health, safety and environment (HSE), and soft skills. Meanwhile, the international company DNV delivers specialized training programs in occupational safety and health, environment, maintenance strategies and planning, reliability and quality, asset management, and process safety.
