As part of the activities of the **Egypt International Petroleum Conference and Exhibition (EGYPES 2023)**, a contract was signed between **Assiut National Oil Processing Company (ANOPC)** and the **Egyptian Company for Project Operation and Maintenance (EPROM)** for the **operation and maintenance of the Diesel Hydrocracking Complex in Assiut**.
The implementation of the contract is divided into **three phases**:
1. **Capacity Building and Training:** Contributing to the qualification and operational training of the complex.
2. **Team Formation and Commissioning:** Providing the necessary workforce to form the integrated team for operating and performance testing of the project.
3. **Long-term Operation and Maintenance:** Supplying the workforce responsible for the ongoing operation and maintenance of the complex over the long term.
ANOPC, one of the companies within the Egyptian petroleum sector, was established to **build and operate the Diesel Hydrocracking Complex in Assiut**, which is considered **one of the most important national projects** at present.
The Assiut Hydrocracking Complex, with an **investment cost exceeding $3 billion**, will contribute to the **development of production capacities for petroleum products in Upper Egypt** by converting low-value diesel into high-demand petroleum products, particularly diesel fuel, to meet the **local market needs in Upper Egypt**.
